Nocturnal Enuresis and Diuresis

Category description

Urine production is regulated by hormonal, renal and neural factors. Increased excretion of urine (diuresis) can be a reason for nocturnal enuresis. In diuresis-dependent enuresis, urine production during the night is higher than the bladder capacity, but the child does not wake up when the bladder is full.
